Hi I'm Melissa McMaster, LMT, NCTMB
I'm a licenced Massage Therapist in Overland Park, KS and in the State of Missouri.
I became a massage therapist in March 2006 because I wanted to be a part of a medical field that helps people feel better. I looked at a number of options but went for the "hands on" approach. (pun intented)
I attended a 634 hour massage therapy program at MTTI (Massage Therapy Training Institute) in Kansas City, Mo. I have taken 40 hours of courses in medical massage, pregnancy massage and other types of massage since that time.
The NCTMB behind my name means that I have passed the National Certification Board for Massage and Bodywork.

Prior to becoming a massage therapist, I spent 13 years working as a social worker with children and their families that were in foster care and up for adoption. I also worked for the IRS while going to school. I learned alot about being in high stress situations and having to do a lot of computer work. (and what that stress does to your body)
